I moved to Woodland from Toft Hill and took up the role as community governor shortly after. My reason for becoming a school governor initially was to get to know and become part of the community. I feel that it’s really important for a village like Woodland to have its own Primary School and it’s also vital for local children.
Although I don’t have a background in education I find being a school governor really rewarding and want to help local children get the best possible start in life in a safe and happy environment.
I wish I could devote more time to the school but find it difficult due to other commitments however I would like to get more involved. I do love attending events at the school to see the children’s achievements.
