On Tuesday the 7th of February, Woodland Primary School’s eCadets held an Safer Internet Day. During the day we were teaching the children how to stay safe on the internet.
Reception & Y1 leaders were Emily C, Isaac C and Toby H. We did a circle time with the children then Reception did a colouring sheet and had to write about being kind to friends online. Y1 coloured in a picture and wrote about how it makes them feel when people are nice to them.
Y2 & Y3 leaders were George B and Emily G. We did a game with them and asked them which words would make them happy or sad, then we coloured in a character called Henry and wrote pledges about how to treat others on the internet.
Y4, Y5 & Y6 leaders were Nathan R and Sophie A . They played a game and then the children wrote pledges about what they would put on GoBubble (a safe online way for children to use social media).
We all had lots of fun and we asked if they had any questions and we told them if they had some they could ask an e-Cadet.
We also led a parent workshop where we gave them 9 top tips to keep their children safe online.
