On Tuesday this week we welcomed John and Louise from Vision Skills NE in to school to talk to the children about how people with impaired vision manage their day to day lives.
They brought a variety of equipment and gadgets in to show the children, such as a colour detector, water leveller, talking lids, walking canes and even a glass eye!
Some children put on a blindfold and used the gadgets. They were amazed at how they worked for visually impaired people. The children had a great afternoon and were very interested in the workshop. Thank you to John & Louise for coming to Woodland.
