Governor – Mrs C J Dixon

Mrs C J Dixon

My name is Celia Dixon. I Have been a co-opted governor the past two years I have lived in Woodland for four years. I am actively involved in the wider community being secretary of Barnard Castle WI and a governor at a Nursery School in Bishop Auckland.

After retiring from Secondary teaching; I felt that I wanted to still keep an involvement with young people. I am passionate about building community and seeing young people and children discover their full potential as well as helping them become active and positive contributors to society.

I believe with staff, parent and community support, Woodland School can continue to be an ‘outstanding’ school, where pupils eagerly learn, develop and leave with fun memories. I want to help achieve this.
