Children Challenging Industry Project

19th January 2022 By katrinascanlon

During our Wonderful Woodland topic, we took part in a Children Challenging Industry project. We tested three fun experiments from our local GSK [GlaxoSmithKline]. We met our GSK representative called Molly through Teams.

The first experiment we tried was making scented soap for Glaxo. After making our soap we did another Teams call to Molly, to feedback our results. Our next experiment was toothpaste making and once we made it we tested it with many different experiments. Our last experiment was trying to mix oil and water. We were given 3 mystery liquids to add to a pot of separated oil and water one at a time. We all enjoyed or GSK science experiments, they were fun, interesting and we couldn’t wait to find out what we were going to do next.

After every experiment we fed our findings and recommendations back to Molly at GSK, we wrote our experiments up and filled in a form at the end of the project, Molly looked at them all with her colleagues and GSK were so impressed they gave all of us a certificate, badge and pen and also awarded 3 top prizes.
